In this role, you will provide critical telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits, and facilitating the entry of new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system. You will also communicate with patients to collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise during the order fulfillment process. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring timely and compassionate support throughout their healthcare journey. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and facilitating prescription entry into the pharmacy information system. Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless order fulfillment. Schedule and Work Environment This role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 11 AM to 7:30 PM EST, offering a structured and predictable work environment. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Six months of experience resolving complex customer needs over the phone. Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology. Education A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Compensation and Benefits The typical pay range for this role is $22.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
