Digital Technology Mobile Product Manager-2

About the position Otis Elevator Company seeks a Digital Technology Product Manager who will own one to several mobile applications for Field Services. This role will oversee app development and deployment. They will act as the Product owner with the business to gather requirements and as the scrum master for the development team. This individual is responsible for overseeing the completion of work and ensuring timely delivery of the product increment. As the product owner and lead for the Global Mobile Apps program, the role involves reviewing use cases and new requirements with business owners to develop a product backlog. You'll prioritize features and user stories into sprint plans and execute these plans by aligning resources and agile pods, performing quality checks, and escalating blockers and issues when necessary. Collaboration with the business is key to defining acceptance criteria, socializing test cases, and supporting user acceptance testing activities. Additionally, you'll manage application releases and deployments while creating and maintaining a communication plan with the business to ensure seamless operations and alignment. Responsibilities • Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing. • Partner with the business team to identify critical capabilities needed as well as potential issues. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding feature development and prioritization. • Lead Scrum ceremonies to review work with the development team, UI/UX, and SMEs. • Identify the risk of non-deliverance and collaborate with the team to devise a plan to mitigate the risk. • Compare the velocity of the sprints and hold retrospectives to improve the efficiency of the scrum team. • Coach teams on the importance of Agile program activities such as Sprint planning and ceremonies such as Daily Standup, Sprint Review, and Retrospective. • Facilitate daily standups (or the daily Scrum) as needed. • Protect the team from over-committing and scope creep. • Aid in estimation and sub-task creation. • Participate in the meeting and capture feedback. • Note areas for improvement and action items for future sprints. • Ensure that cards are up to date and that scrum tools like Jira software are working well. • Regularly analyze burndown charts and other portfolio planning tools to understand what gets built and at what cadence. • Aids the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, or related field. • One to three years of experience in digital product management or a similar role. • Strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills. • Passion for building great mobile app products to solve customer problems and deliver business goals. • Experience working as a Scrum Master leading a dispersed global development team. • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
