Director of Finance

Job Description Director of Finance - Responsible for the financial reporting of 4 entities. Saint Luke's Physician Group, Heart Surgeons of Kansas City, Rockhill Orthopaedic Specialists, & Advanced Urologic Associates. This position is also responsible for the effective supervision and operation of the Finance department. The Director of Finance leader will have 4 direct reports. 1 manager and 3 Sr. Financial Analysts. Essential accountabilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Assists leadership and departments in understanding the financial performance of the organization, using financial data to assist in making operational decisions. Ensures the timely completion and analysis of the monthly financial results for the organization. Oversee the preparation and development of operating and capital budgets, as well as the long range financial plan. BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job. Position requirements The Director of Finance will have the following combination of skills and experience: Minimum of 6-9 years of experience Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field Comfortable working in a complex matrix organization. Strong sense of mission and an active, engaged leadership style. Strategic thinker with the ability to partner with executive and system leadership in strategic and tactical planning and implementation. Highly successful in driving change within an organization.
