Electrical BIM Specialist

Location: Remote (Near PST is preferred) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a skilled Electrical BIM Specialist to join our team. This position involves developing and managing electrical BIM models for a variety of projects, including multifamily residential developments and commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) work. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electrical design coordination, BIM workflows, and a strong understanding of wood-framed and metal-framed building construction. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain electrical BIM models using Revit and other BIM tools. Plan and model underground duct banks, overhead trapeze systems, and deck conduits. Develop detailed layouts for unit wiring, electrical rooms, and equipment connections. Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines. Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the BIM environment. Prepare accurate electrical drawings, schedules, and documentation for construction. Ensure compliance with BIM execution plans, company standards, and industry codes (NEC, NFPA). Collaborate on multifamily projects, ensuring efficient electrical design for multiple units and shared infrastructure. Apply knowledge of wood-framed and metal-framed building construction to electrical design and routing strategies. Support commercial Tenant Improvement projects, including layout adjustments, retrofit planning, and coordination with existing building systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes. Experience in modeling underground and overhead electrical infrastructure. Knowledge of multifamily project design and coordination. Familiarity with wood and metal-framed building construction methods. Experience with commercial TI projects and retrofit coordination. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Familiarity with BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud. Knowledge of large-scale commercial, residential, and multifamily projects. Ability to interpret and implement project specifications and standards. Apply tot his job
