SUMMARY :Manage a team of Logistics / Supply professionals to ensure all aspects of material are planned and executed in accordance with contract requirements and Supply Chain policy and procedure in support of the maintenance, service and support of a fleet of customer aircraft.All aspects of the contract material Logistics, Demand and Supply are the responsibility of this position.While this position is remote, the ideal location for the selected candidate should be within a commutable distance to the Madison, MS area.JOB DUTIES :Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :Manage team of logistics personnelEnsure material availability through analysis and forecastingEnsure a balanced amount of material at each aircraft siteInteract with all aspects of the Supply Chain to solve problems and create process improvementsEnsure team is maximizing their time and focused on the right prioritiesCoordinates all shipping requirements.Demonstrated background within Logistics and Supply Management coupled with exceptional Liaison skillsManages the transfer and shipping of material from point to pointAssists sites with establishing and maintaining stocking levels of Government Property to ensure materials are available to meet maintenance requirements.Maintain inventory at lowest possible cost to the Government.Interface with internal counterparts on issues involving procedural deficiencies.Lead and motivate internal team of direct reportsBuild status and reports as requiredManage the repair cycle and replenishment for aircraft sitesEnsure material finance strategy is followed by the teamEnsure schedule and priority are maintainedEnsures processes are being executed correctly and all staff are trained to perform their rolesEnsures requisitions and procurement line items are monitored, communicated and completedGoal-oriented - Enjoys having and achieving goalsDiligence - follows through and ensures the work is done completely and correctlyProactive - does not wait for direction to determine the subsequent stepsTeam Player - likes working with fellow professionals and knows how to follow / lead, listen / speak.QUALIFICATIONS :Education and Experience :Bachelor's degree AND +8 years related management experience OR Associate's degree AND +12 years related experience OR HS Diploma +16 years related ExperienceMinimum of 6 years' experience in a broad spectrum of inventory management, planning, logistics, program office or other material role.Must have experience working in a material management system, preferably SAPMust possess strong MS Excel skills.Strong and diverse understanding of material managementExcellent Communication skillsWorks well with a team - Excellent listening skills and detail-orientedPHYSICAL DEMANDS :This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the employee may be required to perform duties outside of this as operationally required Regularly required.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.The employee frequently is required to sit.The employee must be able to see and read documents and regularly research on the Internet.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Benefits include the following :Healthcare coverageRetirement PlanLife insurance, AD&D, and disability benefitsWellness programsPaid time off, including holidaysLearning and Development resourcesEmployee assistance resourcesPay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans..
