Continued success depends on the machine-learning systems, which crunch thousands of signals in a few hundred milliseconds, to identify the most relevant ads to show to pinners. You'll join a talented team with high impact, which designs high-performance and efficient ML systems, in order to power the most critical and revenue-generating models at Pinterest. Responsibilities • Collaborate with stakeholders and partner teams across the organization to architect ads ML Training infrastructure solutions to unlock Pinterest ads models innovations. • Mentor engineers to develop their careers and achieve their goals, from early career through senior level, setting the technical vision, guiding the day-to-day execution, as well as fostering good team health and culture. • Lead the team to build the next-generation Pinterest Ads ML foundations. Opportunities to use cutting edge ML technologies including GPU, Cuda, Feature Store and LLMs to empower 100x bigger models with more enrichment model features. • Act as a stalwart of technical quality and excellence on the team, ensuring the solutions we deliver have a high level of polish and reliability. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience. • 2+ years of management experience, or tech lead experiences in 8+ people team (3+ years). • 8+ years of relevant industry experience in leading the design of large scale & production ML infra systems and Model Training framework. • Deep knowledge with building distributed systems or recommendation infrastructure. • Strong cross-functional collaborator and communicator. • Strong people development skills.
