Engineering Manager (Remote)
About the position We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team at an early-stage, product-driven software company. This role blends people leadership, technical direction, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll help scale both the team and the product while maintaining a high bar for engineering quality. Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and support a team of software engineers, fostering growth and accountability • Partner closely with Product and Design to plan, scope, and deliver new features • Set technical direction and uphold best practices around code quality, testing, and system design • Balance hands-on technical involvement with people management and strategic planning • Drive execution in a fast-paced environment while managing trade-offs and priorities • Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement Requirements • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including prior people-management experience • Strong technical background building and scaling web or backend systems • Experience leading teams in startup or high-growth environments • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Comfortable operating in a remote, distributed team environment Nice-to-haves • Experience building or scaling SaaS products • Background working with cloud-native or distributed systems • Prior experience hiring and scaling engineering teams Benefits • Competitive salary and equity • Fully remote role (Americas time zones) • Health, dental, and vision coverage • Flexible PTO • Meaningful ownership and impact at an early-stage company Apply tot his job
