Executive & Personal Assistant (Part-Time, Remote – Independent Contractor)
About Me I’m a journalist, podcaster, and entrepreneur working across entertainment, lifestyle, and travel. I manage multiple ongoing projects and content streams and am looking for a highly organized, proactive assistant to help streamline the administrative and operational side of my work. About the Role This is a part-time, independent contractor position beginning at approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential to grow to 15–20 hours during busier seasons. The role is flexible — you choose when you work as long as tasks are completed on deadline. Responsibilities Scheduling & Admin • Manage calendar + schedule interviews, podcast recordings, and personal appointments • Track deadlines, reminders, and weekly priorities • Organize files, assets, transcripts, and project documents Research & Operations • Research small-business insurance, legal resources, and retirement account options • Assist with travel research and help build itinerary outlines • Compare vendors for branding, website design, and creative services • Maintain spreadsheets for pitches, contacts, expenses, and content workflows Content & Editorial Support • Organize and label interview content (audio, transcripts, clips) • Assist with transcribing and prepping materials • Build simple content calendars for major shows and upcoming coverage • Draft job listings, screen applicants, and schedule writer interviews/tests YouTube, Podcast & Patreon Support • Maintain templates for thumbnails, video descriptions, and posting formats • Help outline rollout plans for interviews, episodes, and on-set content • Assist in building Patreon content calendars and perk structures • Update media kit outlines and sponsor-facing materials Ideal Candidate • Extremely organized and detail-oriented • Strong writing skills and good communication • Excellent researcher who can summarize findings clearly • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and self-managing time • Tech-savvy (Google Mail and Cal, Slack, Zoom, Excel, Word, ChatGPT, etc) • Experience in media, content creation, or project coordination is a plus • Familiarity with YouTube, Patreon, Streamyard, Canva, CapCut or similar tools is a bonus • Graphic design and video editing experience also a plus Hours & Compensation • Approximately 10 hours/week to start, potential for up to 20 • Fully remote • $25–$35/hour, depending on experience • Flexible schedule • Independent contractor role: use your own equipment; 1099-NEC provided Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Application Question(s): • What is one quality, skill, or area of expertise that makes you a strong fit for this role? • What tools or apps do you regularly use for organization, scheduling, or project management? • Are you comfortable managing calendars, scheduling interviews/appointments, and tracking deadlines without micromanagement? • What hours do you typically work, and can you be flexible with deadlines during busy weeks (Survivor/Traitors seasons)?
