Job Overview As an Academic Tutor and Behavioral Coach at Club Xcite, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one support to students of all ages, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with families to develop personalized plans, track progress, and communicate effectively to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to students through one-on-one coaching sessions, focusing on academic support, social and emotional skills, and executive functioning skills Prepare lessons and materials tailored to each student's needs and goals Communicate regularly with families regarding session schedules, progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise Track student progress and update our goal-tracking system to ensure that each student is meeting their goals and objectives Submit worked hours and maintain ongoing availability in our scheduling system, TutorCruncher Update client goal progress in our Goals Portal to ensure that each student is on track to meet their goals Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong educational background and experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. You will also need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in education, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges Available to work at least 3 weekdays from 3pm-7pm, with some morning and weekend hours available Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Familiarity with online management platforms and strong communication skills in multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.) Ability to commit to a client for a minimum of six months and work independently as well as part of a team Reliable transportation and availability during weekdays, with a valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion (required before providing client services) Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for supporting students with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges Strong understanding of child development and learning theory, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting Experience with online learning platforms and technology, with the ability to integrate these tools into coaching sessions Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a range of skills and competencies, including: Communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing Organizational skills: the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accurate records and reports Interpersonal skills: the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and to work effectively as part of a team Problem-solving skills: the ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective interventions Adaptability and flexibility: the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Career Growth and Development At Club Xcite, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our team members.
