Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Ramp Agent at arenaflex, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This is an entry-level position, and our experienced leaders will provide you with the mentorship and guidance you need to advance your career. Your daily tasks will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination Guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections As a Ramp Agent, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on safety, security, and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including early morning and overnight shifts, and you will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of our operation. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States A valid driver's license Proficiency in English The ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT) The ability to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) The ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal In addition to these essential qualifications, you will need to be able to consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data, and be able to embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
