We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at Park Elementary School, within the Le Sueur-Henderson Public School District. Job Summary As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of Special Education programming to students with diverse needs. You will work closely with teachers, case managers, and other educational professionals to create a personalized learning environment that promotes student success. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting teachers in the delivery of Special Education programming, supporting students in resource rooms and general education classrooms, and providing feedback to case managers on student performance. Key Responsibilities Assist teachers in the delivery of Special Education programming, including lesson planning, instructional support, and progress monitoring Support students in resource rooms and general education classrooms, providing individualized instruction, accommodations, and modifications as needed Provide feedback to case managers on student performance, including progress reports, attendance, and behavioral observations Attend meetings and training sessions as requested, including Individual Educational Plan (IEP) meetings, staff meetings, and professional development workshops Monitor students' work, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to promote academic achievement and social growth Proctor assessments, administer tests, and score student work as requested by teachers or case managers Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position, adhering to district policies and procedures regarding student records and confidentiality Perform other duties as needed or assigned, including supporting district-wide behavioral expectations, attending CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training, and maintaining CPI certification Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong educational foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with students with diverse needs.
