Job Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated Spanish Clinic Tutor to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a peer tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students of all levels in their studies of the Spanish language. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching skills, work with a diverse group of students, and contribute to the academic success of our community. Key Responsibilities Assist students of Spanish of all levels in peer tutoring sessions, providing guidance and support in areas such as homework, listening, reading, conversation, grammar, writing, and study skills. Maintain accurate records of Spanish Clinic services and make suggestions on how to improve services. Mentor new hires on best practices for tutoring and provide a positive and supportive learning environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Advanced proficiency and strong writing ability in Spanish. Interpersonal communication skills necessary for talking one-on-one with other students and colleagues. Dependability and flexibility to meet the needs of students and the Spanish Clinic. A positive attitude towards other students and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset: Interest in teaching and a passion for language instruction. Prior experience tutoring, especially in Spanish. Has taken a 300-level Spanish class and/or SP 355. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
