Job Overview We have immediate openings for full-time Infant Assistant Teachers, Toddler Teachers, 2 Year Old Teachers, and 3K Co-Teachers. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports the unique needs and abilities of each child. If you are a passionate and dedicated educator with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Key Responsibilities Greet parents and children during drop-off and pickup, fostering positive relationships and open communication Provide high-quality care and education, including changing diapers, feeding lunch, and supervising children in the classroom and playground Maintain SC DSS ratios, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in our care Develop and implement developmentally appropriate activities, promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth Collaborate with co-teachers to create lesson plans, share ideas, and support each other in providing exceptional care and education Communicate effectively with parents through face-to-face interactions and our Brightwheel app, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities and progress Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and ongoing learning Essential Qualifications At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility (note: experience working in a school district does not meet this requirement) CDA or Associate's Degree preferred for 3K Co-Teacher position Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to providing high-quality care and education, with a focus on supporting the unique needs and abilities of each child Preferred Qualifications CPR certification ECD 101 certification (or willingness to complete a free online training class) Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development Knowledge of child development principles and practices Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At St. Michael's ELC, we are committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our teachers.
