Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Manager to join our team in Johnstown, NY. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for communicating with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing, implementing the business plan for your area of responsibility, and managing staffing and scheduling to achieve facility goals. You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing productivity, maintaining quality and safety standards, and identifying and resolving associate, customer, and supplier concerns. Key Responsibilities Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to achieve facility goals Implement the business plan for your area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling Monitor and manage productivity of your area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports Maintain quality and safety standards in your area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns and take corrective action to resolve them Supervise and develop associates and leaders in your area of responsibility by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have an Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field and 1 year of supervisory experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field. Alternatively, you may have 1 year of Walmart Logistics Management experience, 2 years of Walmart Logistics experience, or 2 years of supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Office skills Experience supervising associates Knowledge of Walmart Logistics Systems Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to analyze business reports and make data-driven decisions. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Additionally, you will need to be able to build strong relationships with associates, customers, and suppliers, and be able to resolve conflicts and concerns in a professional and respectful manner.
