Job Summary As an Operations Manager Trainee - Coach, you will lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. You will tour stores, provide feedback, and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. You will also model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, drive financial performance and sales, and provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates Tour stores and provide feedback (Tour-to-Teach) Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction Introduce and lead company change efforts Provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions Communicate business objectives to teams effectively Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates Manage and support customer service initiatives Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies Provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area Review and evaluate P&L (Profit & Loss) statements Manage and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses Monitor and ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates Hire, train, and mentor associates Assign duties and set clear expectations Provide associate recognition Communicate expectations consistently and effectively Ensure diversity and inclusion awareness Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 2 years' of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing What We Offer At Walmart, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including: Competitive salary Multiple health plan options, including vision & dental plans for you & dependents Financial benefits, including 401(k), stock purchase plans, life insurance, and more Associate discounts in-store and online Education assistance for Associate and dependents Parental Leave Pay during military service Paid Time off - to include vacation, sick, parental Short-term and long-term disability for when you can't work because of injury, illness, or childbirth Why Join Walmart?
