We're now seeking an experienced Application Developer II to join our team on a full or part-time basis, working remotely as part of our Dynamic Customer Platform (DCP) initiative.About the RoleAs an Application Developer II, you will play a critical role in driving Starbucks' success by developing and supporting supply chain technology initiatives. You will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-scale applications across our supply chain business capabilities, including Source, Make, and Deliver. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise, business acumen, and collaborative spirit to make a meaningful impact.Key Responsibilities• Influence established design patterns and standards to develop solutions at scale for business problems• Participate in activities related to requirements gathering and functional specification• Participate in Solution Design, Development, and Core Platform Upgrades• Ensure software development standards are met by participating in code reviews with the team• Collaborate with teams to establish best practices to shape engineering culture• Work with colleagues to recommend new software development technologies and development processes• Lead root cause analysis on production issues, resolve them, and mitigate their impact• Contribute to the development of teams' knowledge bases for existing and ongoing work• Contribute to large-scale projects and initiatives in both waterfall and Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) cycles and methodologiesEssential QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:• 3+ years of hands-on Oracle EBS development and technical experience creating RICEW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows)• Working knowledge of business processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Master Data• Proven expertise in programming languages like Java and Python, as well as a mastery of object-oriented design and programming• Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Oracle Forms (10g), Oracle Reports, UNIX shell scripting, Workflow, and XML Publisher• Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS modules such as Warehouse Management (WMS), Inventory (INV), Order Management (OM), Shipping (WSH), Purchasing (PO), Accounts Payable (AP), Payments (IBY), Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM), General Ledger (GL), Cash Management (CM), and Subledger Accounting (SLA)• Development, testing, and troubleshooting experience with REST APIs• Skill in creating data pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), ADF, and other tools• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)• Working knowledge of distributed data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark)• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical field or equivalent experience• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingPreferred QualificationsTo take your application to the next level, you will ideally have:• Working knowledge of at least one ERP, CRM, e-commerce, or mobile packaged solution (e.g., Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Ariba)• Hands-on experience with iPaaS applications like Oracle SOA Suite, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Apache NiFi• Experience developing Microservices• Involvement with CI/CD and DevOps practicesWhat We OfferAt Starbucks, we're committed to creating a work environment that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering.
