Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Care to join our team in the Behavioral Health Unit. As a first-level supervisory role in the nursing series, you will assist the Unit Manager in managing and supervising a complex Specialty Care unit. Key Responsibilities Assist the Unit Manager with the management and supervision of a complex Specialty Care unit, such as Behavioral Health, Dialysis, or Pain Clinic Assign and review work, oversee staffing, and administer discipline as needed Serve as the first level in the grievance process and assist with day-to-day clinical operations of a patient care unit or service on a designated shift Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans Provide guidance, support, and feedback to nursing staff to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures Essential Qualifications Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing Two years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse, with one year of experience in a Specialty Unit (Behavioral Health, Dialysis, or Pain) Current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Issued by the American Heart Association) Certifications/courses required by unit, such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Fetal Monitoring, or Critical Care course Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing Supervisory/charge nurse experience Certifications in specialty areas, such as Dialysis, Pain Clinic, or Behavioral Health Units Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At ARMC, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our nursing staff.
