Job Overview We are currently seeking an exceptional Associate Director of Product Design to lead our team of UX designers in building cutting-edge, provider-facing tools and experiences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive critical effect, leveraging their expertise in design operations management, client focus, and ability to transform quantitative and qualitative findings into insights and strategy to drive product needs. As a key member of the digital product leadership team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to align UX efforts with business objectives and customer needs. Key Responsibilities Experience Vision and Methodology: Develop and execute a clear procedure for the client experience, balancing growth and design efforts with feasibility, scalability, and business impact. Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Analysis partners to foster a customer-centric approach throughout the product development lifecycle. Client Research and Insights: Drive a deep understanding of our clients' needs, behaviors, and pain points through effective client research initiatives. Translate client insights into meaningful design principles and strategies that inform product development and continuous iterations and optimization. Data-Driven Design Decisions: Utilize data analysis and customer behavior insights to inform design decisions. Implement research results and customer feedback analysis to validate design hypotheses and iterate on solutions. Design Execution and Activity: Apply design thinking principles and oversee the creation of exceptional client experiences that meet objectives with rich transparency. Drive a sense of urgency in the team to deliver work, emphasizing the use of lean tools and methodologies to more quickly deliver work. Team Leadership and Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of talented UX designers and design managers. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and growth. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Architecture, or a related field. A solid understanding of design processes and knowledge of what is possible and what will be difficult to achieve or implement in a digital environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and articulate ideas, and openness to advancing opinions that challenge beliefs. Proficiency in current design tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software. Ability to create relevant deliverables, including detailed site maps, user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies/folksonomies, purchase paths, wireframes, annotations, and prototypes that address interaction suggestions. A strong online portfolio showcasing your experience in shaping B2B, SAAS, or Enterprise platform insight, and your unwavering advocacy for the customer, analytical direction, and strategic thinking. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS, with involved skills being a plus. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the e-commerce industry, and the ability to apply this knowledge to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition. Experience with design systems and the ability to develop and maintain a consistent design language across multiple products and platforms.
