Experienced Business Development Manager - Travel Industry Sales and Account Management Professional

As a key member of our Outreach group, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with travel agency accounts, driving sales growth, and achieving corporate sales objectives. Job Summary In this role, you will work closely with our Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate Marketing, and Customer Engagement Center teams to achieve maximum revenue and net profit. You will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with assigned travel agency accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and proposing and executing partnership agreements. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with your ability to think outside the box and embrace diversity, will be essential in driving success in this position. Key Responsibilities Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with assigned travel agency accounts to increase market share and drive sales growth Identify, prospect, assess, and initiate new travel agency business opportunities to support company objectives Conduct sales calls with key office contacts to deliver Delta Getaways product and service updates, sales-related opportunities, objectives, and performance reviews Propose and execute partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and value for Delta Getaways and implementing back-end commission arrangements as appropriate Develop and deliver strategic business development plans, including marketing and co-op advertising plans, for key agency accounts Implement a time and territory management plan for assigned agency accounts Assess clients' business needs, evaluate performance, and initiate strategic proposals for growth toward plan objectives Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: 2+ years of travel industry sales experience required Strong verbal and written communication, social, and presentation skills Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong numerical ability required High school diploma or equivalent required At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US Preferred qualifications include: 4-year degree from a college or university (or equivalent work experience) Knowledge of Delta Getaways programs, policies, procedures, and reservation systems Skilled at defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions in a timely and accurate manner Able to efficiently lead multiple tasks and deliver results concurrently Proficient at communicating with management, staff, and clients while demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills Career Growth and Development Opportunities Competitive salary, profit-sharing system, and performance incentives 401(k) with liberal company contributions up to 5% Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and personal time Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, short/long-term disability, and life benefits Family care support, including fertility support, surrogacy and adoption assistance, lactation support, subsidized back-up care, and programs to help with family members at all stages Holistic Wellbeing programs to support physical, emotional, social, and financial wellbeing Domestic and international space-available flight privileges for employees and eligible family members Work Environment and Company Culture At Delta Getaways, our culture is built on a shared commitment to living our values - Care, Integrity, Strength, Employee Initiative, and Collaboration - every day, in everything we do.
