As a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician, you'll be an integral part of our team, working closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other professionals to drive client success. Key Responsibilities Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction. Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in client individualized treatment plans, built by BCBAs. Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Assist with parent and caregiver training, supporting them in implementing strategies to promote client progress. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress, as instructed by BCBAs. Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients, reporting all critical incidents and safety concerns. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment, ensuring a conducive setting for client learning. Assist BCBAs in preparing client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition programs. Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge To succeed in this role, you'll need: Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or willingness to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Reliable transportation, with proof of driver's license and valid car insurance (in some cases). At least 18 years of age. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, along with a TB test (if not completed in the past year). Physical ability to perform the job requirements, including getting down on the floor, standing up multiple times, lifting up to 50lbs, and running/moving quickly when necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professional presentation and conduct. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a precise manner. Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions, with a strong understanding of technology to record data on mobile devices and navigate digital applications. Cultural competency, flexibility, and open-mindedness. Preferred Qualifications While not required, experience in the following areas can be beneficial: Working as a Behavioral Technician or in a related field. Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities. Roles such as Teacher's Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide.
