We are now seeking an experienced Centralized Pharmacy Technician - Order Entry Specialist to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Centralized Pharmacy Technician - Order Entry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our order entry team, you will be responsible for accurately entering medication orders for various facilities, ensuring timely and efficient processing of prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Scope of Responsibilities As a Centralized Pharmacy Technician - Order Entry Specialist, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and follow standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Your responsibilities will include: Providing customer service and problem resolution to assigned facilities Accurately entering patient profiles and medications Maintaining accurate information for patients and facilities Billing and crediting each facility appropriately and accurately each month Maintaining reasonable production as determined by supervisor Traveling to individual homes for meetings or drug exchanges (as required) Assisting in orienting and training new employees Completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Attendance Requirements You must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts, and be willing to work nights and weekends as required. Educational Requirements You must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, and a preferred AS Degree or Higher in Business Administration or a related field. Experience Preferred experience in a hospital, long-term care, or retail pharmacy setting, with 3-6 months experience as a pharmacy technician. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Vermont, New Hampshire, or Ohio (as applicable) is also required. Job Skill Requirements You will need to possess strong communication skills, outstanding customer service skills, excellent organization skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize. You should also have a broad knowledge of medications and physician orders, and general computer and keyboarding skills. Required Training You will be required to complete a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test, and successful completion of a HIPPA Privacy Course, HIPPA Security Course, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Course, MethGuard Course, HIPPA Privacy CE Mastery Exam, HIPPA Security CE Mastery Exam, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse CE Mastery Exam, and MethGuard CE Mastery Exam.
