Job Summary As a part-time Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will be responsible for moderating our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions align with our community rules and guidelines. This is a flexible, remote opportunity that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful online environment. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and moderate the Discord server, ensuring that all user interactions comply with our community rules and guidelines. Delete messages that violate server rules, and take further action as necessary, including muting or banning repeat offenders. Investigate reports made by users about potential rule violations, and take appropriate action based on findings. Maintain accurate records of moderation actions, and provide insights to help improve community engagement and rule enforcement. Collaborate with the community management team to develop and implement strategies for promoting a positive and inclusive online environment. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online community management and moderation. Essential Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced online environment. Ability to work independently as a remote team member. Familiarity with Discord and its moderation tools is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in online community management or moderation. Knowledge of online safety and security best practices. Familiarity with content management systems and moderation tools. Experience working in a part-time or flexible remote role.
