About the Role We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team at Williamson Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and planning nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time of admission, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination Plan the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes Functions independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures Document accurately and timely, and reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition Foster a healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family, and maintain position-specific qualifications Essential Qualifications Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university Licensed in the State of Tennessee BLS within 90 days of hire Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire (for critical care and telemetry units) ACLS within 6 months of hire (for critical care and telemetry units) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire (for critical care and telemetry units) AACN, CCRN, or CCP certification within two years of hire (for critical care unit) Preferred Qualifications At least one year of experience in critical care or a related field Previous experience with electronic medical records and computerized medication administration Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability Skills and Competencies Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients and situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Career Growth and Development At Williamson Medical Center, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our employees.
