Our STARs (Service, Talent, Ambition, and Results) are the heart of our brand, and we are dedicated to providing them with the tools, training, and opportunities they need to succeed. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Customer Care Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * Serving as the primary point of contact for our valued guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner * Communicating with guests via email, letter, phone, and social media channels such as TripAdvisor, Twitter, and Facebook * Entering and retrieving information contained in computer databases to update records, files, and answer inquiries from guests * Operating standard office equipment, including computers, mail, fax machines, and other devices * Preparing letters, memos, and other documents using a computer, mail, fax machine, including proofreading and editing written information to verify accuracy and completeness * Providing excellent customer service to all guests and fellow STARs, supporting the efforts of other STARs to provide exceptional customer service * Responding sensitively to the needs and feelings of others, regardless of status or position, and maintaining rapport with colleagues and guests * Following all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional * Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets * Welcoming and acknowledging all guests with genuine appreciation, speaking with others using clear and professional language, and preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely * Answering telephones using appropriate etiquette and reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to manager * Performing other reasonable tasks as requested **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * A High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent * 3 years of related experience in customer service or a related field * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and completeness in all aspects of the job * Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines * Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Supervisory experience in a customer service or related field * Certification in customer service or a related field * Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment * Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their applications in customer service * Ability to speak multiple languages **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm * Strong time management and prioritization skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect company assets * Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their applications in customer service **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to providing our STARs with the tools, training, and opportunities they need to succeed.
