Job Overview The Customer Development Manager at blithequark serves as the Insights and Analytics expert, supporting a top national customer, such as Costco. This role requires utilizing analytical and thought leadership skills to execute category strategies aligned with customer priorities. The ideal candidate will analyze data, identify opportunities, and make recommendations that drive category and customer growth, ensuring superior client satisfaction through hands-on deep analytics and team problem-solving. Primary Responsibilities Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs and assortments, ensuring alignment with customer goals and objectives. Communicate complex and detailed information to multiple individuals and audiences with differing knowledge levels, both internally and externally. Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry, providing effective information to deliver sales, margin, and market development goals. Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, driving improvement of results and finding solutions to complex problems. Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to inform strategic decisions and optimize outcomes. Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor specific performance metrics and goals relevant to each business as part of regular, scheduled business reviews. Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information in presentation-ready formats, facilitating data-driven decision-making. Evaluate and make recommendations on supplier performance to enhance the company's inventory and fill rate objectives, ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth and stay ahead of market trends. Ensure superior client satisfaction by providing hands-on deep analytics and contributing to team problem-solving, fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented work environment. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and perform other job-related duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector, with Adult Beverage experience preferred, and a value-added experience working with national retailers like Costco. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to incorporate and interpret data from multiple unrelated data sources into concise, action-oriented recommendations. Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, as well as expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (Numerator/Spectra, etc.). Ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations, demonstrating assertive leadership and decision-making skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, with preferred experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel. Preferred Qualifications Strong leadership and decision-making capability, with a proven track record of success in driving category growth and customer satisfaction. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
