Perform cashiering duties, balance the cash register, and ensure accurate cash management to maintain the financial integrity of our store. Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for our guests, including stocking and facing merchandise, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring restrooms are clean. Support the store's inventory management by contributing to the loading, unloading, and stocking of merchandise according to established standards. Ensure that animals, birds, reptiles, and fish in the store receive high-quality care, and their living conditions are clean, safe, and secure. Engage in the conduct of quarterly and annual physical inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of our inventory levels. Devote significant attention to safety procedures, implementing and enforcing regulations and policies to ensure a clean and healthy environment for all occupants of the store. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests, colleagues, and management effectively. Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and operate a cash register. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
