Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Agent to join our team at arenaflex. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing legendary hospitality and support at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver friendly, reliable, and efficient service to our customers, ensuring that their travel experience with us is nothing short of exceptional. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues or complaints in a professional and courteous manner Operate a computerized point-of-sale system to handle ticketing, check-in, boarding, baggage service, and reservations Handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets, computing charges, making change, and balancing daily transactions Check in baggage and cargo, answer telephone calls, and provide information to customers, resolving problems or complaints as needed Deal with mishandled customers as a result of oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged luggage, resolving issues quickly and within established guidelines Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general inquiries from customers and other visitors to the airport terminal Complete forms and reports as required, writing irregularity and complaint reports as necessary Essential Qualifications Ability to type and/or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet demands of the job Able to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations Ability to work well with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful situations Must be able to satisfactorily complete Customer Service Agent training program with an 80% or greater average and an evaluation period Must be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle emergencies as needed Must work under tight time constraints to accomplish quick turns of aircraft Presentation of a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Labor Agreement Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, preferably in an airport or travel-related environment Foreign language skills are desirable, but not required Ability to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements May be required by Station Leadership to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process transactions and resolve customer issues Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving common goals and objectives Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development, both personally and professionally.
