Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a positive and memorable shopping experience. Your key priorities will include greeting customers, assisting them with the selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, maintaining a clean and well-stocked store, and contributing to a safe and secure shopping environment. Key Responsibilities Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that customers feel valued and supported throughout their shopping experience. Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including stocking shelves, recovering merchandise, and transporting merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor. Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and ensures that the store is well-organized and easy to navigate. Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, ensuring that products are faced, fronted, and stocked to the correct levels. Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, ensuring that customers receive accurate change and receipts. Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any incidents or concerns to management. Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including participating in visual merchandising, processing inventory, and completing tasks as assigned by management. Position Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned. Experience: Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments. Previous experience in customer-facing roles is an asset. Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
