About the Role As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the primary customer interface for inquiries, handling incoming phone calls and providing exceptional support and advocacy to our members. You will inform and educate our customers, serve as a member advocate, and build trust in our abilities. By using established best practices, attending ongoing training, and utilizing resources and tools, you will serve as an expert to help navigate the challenging world of insurance. Key Responsibilities Interface with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail Research customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues Elevate sensitive customer requests when necessary Comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates, which are continually changing, thus creating a very dynamic environment Accountable to remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability Essential Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must have: High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting (health insurance or related field preferred) Availability for training 9-12 weeks in length Reliable internet service provider as well as a dedicated, distraction-free workplace Preferred Qualifications The strongest candidates for this position will also possess: Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation is a plus Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional support and advocacy to our members Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve customer issues effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
