Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary focus will be on meeting the needs of our customers by providing exceptional service. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Practicing exceptional service with customers using available training programs and measurement tools Using numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors Maintaining a balanced cash drawer and resolving errors and/or discrepancies as they arise Buying and selling currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded Understanding the features and benefits of blithequark's consumer and business products and services Answering basic customer inquiries and cross-selling when appropriate Working effectively in a team-oriented environment Following all blithequark policies and procedures Performing other duties as assigned Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess certain skills, knowledge, and abilities. These include: Being a customer service-oriented individual with a passion for helping others Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Basic mathematical and cash handling skills Basic keyboard navigation ability Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Outlook and Word) is preferred Bilingual abilities are a plus In terms of education and formal training, no specific requirements are necessary. However, previous cash handling and/or customer service experience is preferred. As an entry-level position, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow with our organization. Working Conditions and Environment This role operates in a clerical office setting, where you'll routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. You can expect prolonged periods of standing in a generally fast-paced environment, with some evening and weekend hours included. In terms of physical activities, you'll need to be able to stand for long periods, have good eyesight and hand/finger dexterity, and be able to handle some mental stress when dealing with upset customers. You may spend significant time doing computer work, and you'll need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion is also likely.
