Job Overview We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to support our Federal Student Aid (FSA) Loan Servicing program. As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in responding to incoming calls, chats, and emails, as well as making outbound calls to provide assistance and resolve inquiries related to FSA loan servicing. This is a remote position, but you must reside within a 1-hour commute of Jacksonville, FL, and be willing to work onsite for up to one week. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role and provide exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Respond to incoming calls, chats, and emails, as well as make outbound calls to provide assistance and resolve inquiries related to FSA loan servicing Utilize our computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient and effective issue resolution Provide feedback and input on call trends, processes, procedures, and training to continuously improve our services Refer customers to published materials, secondary sources, or more senior staff as needed to ensure comprehensive support Process requests received via general correspondence and notate accounts regarding actions taken in response to those requests Support Contact Center expectations, as well as departmental and corporate policies and procedures, to maintain a high level of service quality Maintain regular use of our feedback tool to give and receive constructive feedback on call quality and department tasks Assist with Credit Bureau Requests utilizing established processes and procedures Refer escalated calls or inquiries to appropriate levels as needed to ensure timely and effective resolution Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 months of customer service experience Ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently Basic math and PC skills, including MS Office applications Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to organize simultaneous tasks Must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be available to support all FSA programs via reassignment between programs (moving from one program to another), as needed Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or call center environment Knowledge of Federal Student Aid loan servicing programs and procedures Experience with computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
