Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty drug treatment. You will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new and existing drug orders, including verifying and updating benefits, assisting patients with interpreting and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to monitor, identify, resolve, and expedite orders with billing or clinical issues. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners via phone, ensuring timely and accurate processing of specialty drug orders Verify and update patient benefits, process new and existing orders, and assist patients with interpreting and entering prescriptions into our pharmacy information system Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or clinical issues Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating compassionate and genuine care for patients and clients Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, orders, and issues resolved Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Active IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing role, handling and resolving complex customer needs via phone 1+ year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications 1+ year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, or communications) Preferred Qualifications The following preferred qualifications will make you a stronger candidate for this role: Experience working in healthcare, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and medical terminology Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of patient needs and concerns Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
