Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. As a key member of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying and revifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to patients, ensuring timely and efficient processing of specialty medications Verify and revify benefits, process new patient medication orders and reorders, and enter prescriptions into the pharmacy information system Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners to resolve issues and ensure seamless fulfillment of specialty medications Obtain authorizations, collect copay amounts, and work with internal teams to screen, identify, and resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues Demonstrate superb communication skills, compassion, and genuine care for patients and customers in a fast-paced environment Qualifications and Requirements To succeed in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent Preferred qualifications include: Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology Skills and Competencies To excel in this position, you should possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely and efficient manner Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, and experience with pharmacy information systems Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
