About the Role We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team as a Customer Service Representative. In this critical role, you will provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need. Your responsibilities will include the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revitalizing benefits, translating and entering prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating with patients about copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional telephone support to patients, ensuring timely and compassionate care. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and entering prescriptions into our system. Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve issues and ensure seamless delivery of specialty medications. Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Demonstrate superb communication skills, interacting with various stakeholders to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations. Requirements and Qualifications To excel in this role, you will need to possess certain essential qualifications and skills. These include: Essential Qualifications At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude. A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
