Job Summary As a Customer Service Representative with blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, handling a high volume of inquiries via multiple channels, including phone, email, live chat, and self-service platforms. Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, will enable you to provide top-notch support, resolving customer queries efficiently and effectively. You will be expected to handle 60-80 contacts per day, utilizing multiple applications, knowledge bases, tools, and calculators to research and resolve customer issues. The ability to consistently provide an exceptional level of customer service, briefly explain complex issues in simple terms, and demonstrate appropriate de-escalation techniques is critical to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities Field customer service inquiries and handle customer service transactions independently and proficiently, demonstrating active listening skills and confirming understanding of customer needs, issues, and requests. Use authorized systems to gather information, provide information, and/or update customer records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Provide standard information and education regarding service options, charges, billing, and contracts, highlighting the features and benefits of blithequark's products and services to increase revenue and retain at-risk customers. Demonstrate ownership of customer issues, providing one-call resolution and making every reasonable attempt to resolve the customer's issue before escalating the query. Communicate concise and accurate information, listening for and identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services. Establish customer accounts by negotiating and documenting service type, pricing, billing, and other required information, supporting other service lines when required. Attempt to retain customers who call to cancel services by probing for cancellation reasons and offering alternatives, meeting or exceeding service and operational standards established for the call center. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D (accredited) One (1) year of previous customer service experience (in addition to education requirement) Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills, with the ability to multitask and react well under pressure Computer skills, including MS Office, and typing skills Professional phone etiquette and the ability to demonstrate respect and empathy in customer interactions Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, prioritizing and planning work activities to meet productivity standards Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Bilingual in Spanish Previous experience in a call center environment, handling high-volume customer inquiries Knowledge of customer service software and technology, including CRM systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and quality in work output Ability to adapt to change and respond to feedback, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for career advancement and professional development. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $15.00 - 20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
