Job Overview In this outdoor combination role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting customers in various parts of the rental or return process on our airport lots. Your responsibilities may include checking cars, entering information in a handheld device, processing rentals for our loyalty customers, assisting customers at our exit gates, or checking-in our cars at return, all while providing exceptional customer service. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of our brand, and your passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences will be essential in driving customer satisfaction and loyalty. Key Responsibilities: Assist customers in different parts of the rental or return process, including checking cars, entering information in a handheld device, and processing rentals for loyalty customers Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, navigating airport lots, and entering/exit vehicles for prolonged periods Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a positive and supportive work environment Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Valid Driver's License Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry Effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues Willingness to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to type, sit, stand, walk, or move throughout rental lots, and enter/exit vehicles for prolonged periods Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: 6 months of retail customer service experience in a fast-paced environment Previous experience working in a similar role, such as a customer service representative or sales agent Knowledge of the transportation or rental car industry, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude Career Growth Opportunities: At Avis Budget Group, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees.
