Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to our valued customers. As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you will be handling everyday functions related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions with accuracy and efficiency Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work member cases/sports assigned and follow up with customers to ensure resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching Complete daily balancing and department closing Obtain information from contributors for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm contributors for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: High school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills Previous customer/member service experience (preferred) Previous banking or Credit Union experience (preferred) Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience (preferred) Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate will possess: Excellent customer service skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
