Job Overview This exciting remote opportunity is part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for a range of duties related to payment processing, object processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall success of the team. Key Responsibilities Complete data access and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining attention to detail and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Obtain information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing budget transfer information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements Communicate with vendors to process budget transfers, ensuring timely and effective resolution Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws, regulations, and guidelines Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with contributors, vendors, and other stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of payment processing, object processing, and budget transfers Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with contributors, vendors, and other stakeholders Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data, with a focus on maintaining accuracy and efficiency Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department, with a focus on supporting the team and delivering exceptional customer experiences Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and contributors, with a focus on building strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer experiences Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting the team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
