About the Role This exciting opportunity is part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for a range of duties related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional support to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met with flexibility, grace, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions with accuracy and attention to detail Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring efficient and accurate processing Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, maintaining a high level of customer service Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant regulations Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous customer/member service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need: Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork Ability to self-motivate, with a strong sense of initiative and a commitment to ongoing learning and development Career Growth Opportunities At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
