Job Overview This exciting remote opportunity is part of the Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for performing daily functions related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at arenaflex Credit Union. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the overall success of our team. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing Work member cases/sports assigned to you, providing timely and effective solutions Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring timely and accurate processing Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Obtain information from members for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing excellent customer service and support Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members, vendors, and other stakeholders Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous customer/member service experience, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members, vendors, and other stakeholders Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide effective solutions Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong focus on flexibility and responsiveness Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
