About the Role We're looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative to work remotely from the comfort of their own home in Texas. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for engaging with customers, resolving issues, and providing top-notch support via phone, email, and other channels. If you're a pet lover or enthusiast, that's a bonus! Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, thinks critically, and has excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Engage directly with customers to address a variety of topics, from shopping for new pets to finding the perfect chew toy, or resolving issues when things don't go as planned Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution Operate with understanding, utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to customers and team members alike Collaborate with teammates, managers, and other stakeholders using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams to contribute to a customer-centric culture of collaboration Continuously learn and develop new skills, sharing feedback and operating in a culture of open-mindedness and growth Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a remote or call center environment Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening), demonstrated through a written assessment Ability to multi-task, navigate computer systems, and perform well in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using computers for data entry, navigation, and internet research High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass a background check Flexibility to shift schedule and work overtime as needed by the business unit Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a pet-related industry or with animals Knowledge of customer service software and technology Certifications in customer service or related fields Bilingual or multilingual skills Technical Requirements To work remotely, you'll need: A dedicated workspace that is large enough to accommodate computer monitors and free from distractions and background noise A reliable wired, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10Mbps+ upload speed) A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify A webcam and headset for virtual collaboration and customer interactions We'll provide the computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and other necessary equipment to ensure your success.
