Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling inbound customer service calls related to patient accounting questions, providing exceptional service, and ensuring first-call resolution. When inbound call volumes are low, you may also make outbound follow-up calls on outstanding accounts receivable. Your primary goal will be to deliver professional, service-oriented support to our customers, addressing their concerns, and resolving issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities Answer inbound customer service calls and make outbound follow-up calls in a professional and service-oriented manner, ensuring timely responses without drops or abandons. Ascertain the reason for the call, assist the caller with their questions, concerns, or problems, and facilitate resolution by referring the matter to the relevant issue expert or escalating it to a supervisor as needed. Utilize effective problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve customer issues, maintaining a professional and calming tone of voice, and ensuring complete command of the English language. Establish a clear understanding of the customer's issue or reason for contact, and maintain control of the call by de-escalating issues and instilling confidence in the resolution. Function effectively under stress, managing conflicting demands on time and attention, and maintaining composure when dealing with difficult personalities. Interpret and apply reimbursement aspects of managed healthcare contracts, and clearly articulate responses to customers using appropriate voice modulation. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must possess exceptional customer service skills, including effective problem-solving and analytical abilities. You should have a professional and calming tone of voice, with complete command of the English language, and be able to facilitate conversations with others to establish a clear understanding of the customer's issue. A high school education or equivalent is required, and 1-2 years of prior experience in an inbound call center or customer service environment is preferred. Experience with hospital patient account billing, 3rd party reimbursements from insurance companies, and government payers is a plus.
