Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers have a positive and engaging shopping experience. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and well-stocked store, and assisting with store operations, including receiving and stocking merchandise. Key Responsibilities Provides customer engagement in a positive and approachable manner, ensuring that customers have a memorable and enjoyable shopping experience. Assists in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store for customers during their shopping experience, including cleaning, facing merchandise, and ensuring that the store is well-organized and easy to navigate. Helps in the unloading of merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transports merchandise from stockroom to sales floor, ensuring that the store is always fully stocked and that customers have access to the products they need. Independently stocks shelves and recovers merchandise in the store, ensuring that the store is always well-stocked and that customers can easily find the products they are looking for. Accurately handles customer funds and processes transactions using the POS system, ensuring that customers have a seamless and efficient checkout experience. Remains constantly aware of customer activity to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment, reporting any incidents or concerns to management as needed. Performs all other duties as assigned in order to maintain an effective and profitable store operation, including participating in visual merchandising, processing customer returns and exchanges, and assisting with inventory management. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent, with a strong focus on customer service and retail operations. Ability to follow directives and interpret retail operational documents as assigned, including sales reports, inventory reports, and visual merchandising guidelines. Prefer experience working in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and retail operations. Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs. (and occasionally, up to 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a strong commitment to being available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
