You'll be responsible for verifying and renewing benefits, assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, collecting and processing copay sums, acquiring approvals, and collaborating with insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders efficiently. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and have a knack for working in a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you! **Key Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and handle new and reorder medication requests, including verifying and renewing benefits * Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system * Collect and process copay sums, acquire approvals, and work with insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders efficiently * Collaborate with patients, insurance agencies, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty medications * Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to resolve complex customer issues and provide empathetic support * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and medication orders * Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, policies, and procedures related to specialty medications and patient care **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, or communications) * Dynamic IL Drug Store Specialist Permit or willingness to apply for an IL Drug Store Professional Permit * One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone * One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications * One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness **Preferred Qualifications:** * Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology * Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, insurance agencies, and internal teams **About arenaflex:** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
