Key Responsibilities: Bill shipments according to applicable tariffs and pricing agreements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Recognize and resolve documentation errors, taking proactive steps to prevent future occurrences. Assist customers with a wide range of inquiries, including tracing shipments, rate quotes, tariff discrepancies, and billing and invoicing questions, providing clear and concise responses. Perform general clerical duties as assigned, such as answering and directing phone calls, filing, data entry, and billing, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency. Process over, short, and damaged freight and related documentation for customer resolution, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes. Requirements for Success: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications: 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a transportation or logistics environment. Strong computer, typing, and 10-key skills, with the ability to navigate various software applications and systems. Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Transportation experience, providing a deeper understanding of the industry and its unique challenges. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
