About Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy is a vital part of blithequark's mission to provide life-sustaining specialty drug therapy to patients in need. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive their medications in a timely and efficient manner. You'll work closely with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and provide exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, responding to their queries and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits to ensure seamless delivery. Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Utilize superb communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners, ensuring that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment. Work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and ever-changing landscape. Essential Qualifications One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and aptitude. Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology. Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with knowledge of specialty medications and patient needs. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide personalized support. You'll also require strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and resolve them efficiently. Other essential skills include: Proficiency in Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office. Strong keyboarding skills and attention to detail.
