About the Role Reporting to the Manager, Customer Support Engineering at blithequark, the Customer Support Engineer will play a pivotal role in resolving customer concerns, developing and improving internal tooling, and engineering solutions to maximize the value our customers derive from our platform. This role is not just about troubleshooting; it's about creating a seamless customer experience that sets blithequark apart as a leader in customer support and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Solving complex and interesting cases for blithequark customers, ensuring timely and effective resolutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations. Troubleshooting customer issues in collaboration with our engineering team, leveraging technical expertise to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions. Working closely with other blithequark teams to provide expert advice and assistance, both internally and externally, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach. Developing and improving internal tools alongside our engineering team, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, productivity, and the overall customer experience. Specializing in specific product areas and taking ownership of these within the team, becoming a subject matter expert and driving continuous improvement. Improving existing and identifying new internal documentation, processes, and policies to ensure they are aligned with best practices and contribute to exceptional customer outcomes. Assisting Customer Success Managers with Enterprise requests, providing technical expertise and support to ensure these high-value customers receive tailored solutions and service. About You To excel in this role, you should be an exceptional communicator with the ability to earn the trust of our customers and rapidly understand and address technical issues. A background in frontend development, particularly with Next.js, is highly desirable, as is experience with modern web architecture, frontend frameworks like React, cloud technologies, serverless computing, and DNS. The ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential. Essential Qualifications Frontend development experience, with a strong preference for experience with Next.js. Deep understanding of modern web architecture, frontend frameworks, cloud technologies, serverless computing, and DNS, with the ability to communicate these concepts effectively. Passion for engineering solutions to resolve root causes of recurring problems, with a proactive approach to preventing future issues. Experience with incident management and procedural communication, ensuring that issues are handled professionally and efficiently. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to lead by example, provide constructive feedback, and mentor other team members. Comfort working with a fully remote, globally distributed team, with flexibility to work within a weekend and on-call rota as required. A genuine passion for delivering a customer experience that is second to none, with a customer-centric approach in all aspects of your work. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CDNs and a good understanding of caching techniques, which would be a significant asset in this role. Familiarity with monorepos and/or custom, complex CI/CD pipelines, contributing to your ability to navigate and improve our internal systems and processes.
