As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in applying scientific rigor to enhance the company's content portfolio, marketing, and release strategy. Job Overview In this full-time position, you will work remotely and be responsible for applying advanced analysis techniques to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions. You will be part of a dynamic team that values creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication. Your expertise will help identify untapped customer needs, optimize content launch and episode release strategies, and develop new metrics to measure content performance. Key Responsibilities Apply advanced analysis procedures, including data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning, to drive business decisions Analyze customer behavior to identify neglected customer needs and undiscovered content opportunities Predict content engagement to guide acquisition decisions Optimize content launch and episode release methodology Test marketing strategies to enhance engagement and retention Develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance Provide ad-hoc analysis support to stakeholders to drive business forward Effectively communicate significant results through compelling data storytelling across the organization Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field At least 2 years of experience in Data Analysis Proficiency in SQL and experience with R and/or Python Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning methods, including decision trees, regression, clustering, etc. Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A Master's degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field A passion for Media and Entertainment Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical skills : ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets Effective communication skills : ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders Creativity and problem-solving skills : ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions Collaboration and teamwork skills : ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Adaptability and flexibility : ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Disney, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
