As a Data Analyst II, you will be part of this transformative journey, working closely with various teams to unlock the full potential of Walmart's data assets. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business and product partners to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop data-driven solutions to address them. Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. Define and evaluate key performance metrics for new product launches, and develop data visualizations to monitor and measure their impact. Conduct exploratory data analysis, including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis, to uncover hidden patterns and trends. Work closely with data stewards and data engineering teams to gather and process data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. Communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders, driving business outcomes and growth. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics. Strong exploratory data analysis skills, with the ability to make logical, data-driven recommendations and solutions. Experience with languages used to manipulate data and extract insights from large datasets, such as SQL, Python, Presto, etc. Strong storytelling skills, with experience in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc. Experience with data quality tools, such as Google DataPlex, Collibra Data Quality, SAS Data Management, or IBM InfoSphere Data Server. Preferred Qualifications To stand out in this role, you should have: Experience with quality testing using Selenium, Cucumber, or Tosca. Experience in building multi-step ETL jobs/data pipelines and working with job scheduling frameworks. Experience processing complex data on cloud platforms, ideally Google BigQuery and Hive. Experience working on Data Modeling (E-R) and having strong BI concepts. Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning models. Prior experience in the retail or financial industry sectors.
