Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and skilled Data Engineer - Data Analytics to join our team at arenaflex. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and operationalizing data pipelines to make data available for consumption, driving business insights and informed decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data architects, data scientists, and BI architects, to design and maintain scalable data models and pipelines that meet the evolving needs of our organization. Key Responsibilities Design and develop data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and reliability Collaborate with data architects to align on data engineering requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing data infrastructure Develop and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation Implement big data and NoSQL solutions, creating scalable data processing platforms to drive high-value insights for the organization Support the development of data dictionaries and data taxonomy for product offerings, ensuring data consistency and standardization Demonstrate strong understanding of coding and programming concepts to build data pipelines, including data transformation, data quality, and data integration Work with data modelers to design and develop data pipelines, storing data in defined data models and structures Show strong understanding of data integration methods and tools, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)/Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) and database design Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality of data management, ensuring data integrity and compliance Lead ad-hoc data retrieval for business reports and dashboards, reviewing data integrity from various sources Manage database design, including installing and upgrading software, and maintaining relevant documentation Monitor database activity and resource utilization, performing peer reviews for other data engineers' work Essential Qualifications 3+ years of experience designing and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets 3+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IICS 3+ years of experience in data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing 3+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, such as ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other big data technologies Broad experience working with various data sources, including SQL, Oracle database, flat files (csv, delimited), web API, and XML Advanced SQL skills, with strong understanding of relational databases and business data; ability to write complex SQL queries against multiple data sources Strong understanding of database storage concepts, including data lake, relational databases, NoSQL, Graph, and data warehousing Able to work in a high-speed agile development environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent programming/services experience Azure Certifications Experience implementing data integration strategies, such as event/message-based integration (Kafka, Azure Event Hub), ETL Experience with Git/Azure DevOps Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies Familiarity with the retail industry Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working with SAP integration tools, including Bodies Experience with UC4 Job Scheduler Career Growth and Development At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for professional development, training, and mentorship.
